Animal agriculture is the leading cause of rainforest deforestation and green house gases. I stopped eating animals and their "products" because of ethical reasons (#ahimsa 🙌🏻) but I also love nature. The beauty of it often leaves me speechless and it is my ultimate anti depressant. There is no denying that non vegan food options (and some vegan ones, too, for that matter! 🚫 e.g. palm oil) aren't sustainable ecologically. We as humans are killing our rain forests - the lungs of this planet - and our oceans. 🐠🐬🐳 They will be fishless in a few decades. Humans praise themselves to be this incredibly unique, smart and superior species. However, when you look at the facts of what we are doing to our only home from an objective point of view, humanity is fucking stupid. Stupid and cruel.
Right now we are failing this planet and we are failing ourselves. Buuuut, I believe that most people just aren't educated on what is going on and how easy it is to eat plant based. To get a better understanding of the correlations and why organizations like Greenpeace lie to you,

Now what is this? It is a simple light fermentation creation using some young coconut meat. The consistency I prefer to use is between jelly and when it just starts to develop thickness but you can still easily scoop it out with a spoon with little effort. What I do is scoop out all the coconut and put it into a container that can be sealed without letting air in. Let it sit for ~12-36 hours depending on your climate, how you like the taste, age of the flesh etc... open the container and enjoy! That simple. The taste is AMAZING!! It's seriously one of the best things I have had since I've been eating raw foods. The taste is like a lightly sour cream cheese ... very palatable. I have seen many people try it and everyone loves. I've been eating more fat lately, usually in the form of something like this, coconut unfermented, avocado, and durian. Feeling more satiated and strong. I always make sure to combine foods properly as well for ideal digestion. My body still doesn't perfectly digest if I eat a lot of fat, but I enjoy the balance. At this point I have read and learned a lot about raw food from different people, but I am just following my instincts and listening to my body. If you have access to coconuts I highly recommend you try this ✌️

Cheesin 😊 . I spent the past two years studying at the University of South Florida. While there I enrolled in several workout performance studies which really pushed me to level up. I was consistently among the weakest and least knowledgeable persons in the lab. I loved it. I got mad love for the friends I made and am thankful for all of the knowledge acquired along the way. 🖤

I recently found myself soaking up Katy Bowman's ( @nutritiousmovement ) incredible book Move Your DNA and it occurred to me that I hadn't been for a walk alone, without a baby, a toddler or lugging around a huge bag of gear with me, for a Very long time.
It occurred to me that most of my life's movements are either ushering kids around, mostly by car, sitting at a screen, working around the house or, a defined range of movements that are performed on a piece of rectangular foam on a hard uniform surface. .
My movement diet has been severely lacking. As a long time yoga asana practitioner there are certain movement habits that have grooved their way into my body. Thanks to @diane_bruni for shedding much light on what the effect of a long time practice on a woman's body can be. As a long time mother there are another set of movement patterns set in my body.
Today I announced to my husband that I'm going for a walk alone and strode out the door. .
I sought out varying surfaces to clamber over, I thought about how the trees are shaped by the winds and how the environment we find ourselves in literally shapes us, both physically and otherwise. .

The one thing I know is we all need to better ourselves if we want to see a better world. Whatever we do today in celebration of Earth Day should be done every day, at the very least. I truly believe there is a bigger picture here, a root cause to all of our problems. I think it boils down to individual apathy, out of ignorance, laziness, and most importantly fear. Fear that one person can't make a difference. Fear that the problems are too big to solve. Fear of those solutions. Fear of change. Sure money is at the root of all evil, but money doesn't truly exist it's only our belief in money, our faith that backs it up. I think we all need to start looking internally, as any external authority will never have your best interest in mind. I truly believe there is a war on consciousness, and the evidence of such is overwhelming. Start connecting the dots and putting the puzzle pieces together to see the bigger picture. All of the individual problems are just symptoms of the greater sickness. Treat your body like the temple it is, and you will find God within. Continue poisoning yourself with industry approved toxins and the tormented flesh of others, and bare witness to the slow, painful suicide you're causing yourself and the world around us. Modern day science and ancient spiritual teachings are aligning more and more each day. All is one. When you hurt others or the Earth we share, you hurt yourself. When you hurt yourself, you also end up hurting others and the Earth we share. Ripple effect. Everything is connected. Every day we should all take a step back and ask ourselves if the way we live is making the future a better or worse place. Every action has a reaction. Let's bring more positive action in this world. Let's take a stand against negative action in our world. When someone harms the earth, they are harming you. Time to take it personal. #Animalagriculture , #deforestation , #pollution , #geoengineering and all forms of #slavery#oppression and #inequality affect us all even if you can't see the direct connection in your life. Time to wake up and be the change you wish to see in the world.

My eyes are awake to her beauty, her gifts, her love and also her pain! She offers us a place to live and thrive and yet we abuse her and destroy her and take more than we need from her. But she's stronger than us mere humans! We may nearly destroy her but we'll be gone before her! She will bounce back when we're gone. But it doesn't have to be that way! And I believe it won't! .
One of the reasons why we're out of control is because we've lost our relationship with her! We've lost our connection to her! We don't see her the way we should! We don't respect and honour her the way we should. ~
Slow down! Be mindful of your actions for they have reactions! People think they have no effect on the world and yet every action you make has an effect! Every action! That's powerful! That's a shit tonne of responsibility we all have!! It's time we stop acting like spoiled, ignorant, whiny, babies and start living like awake and aware compassionate beings that can get along and create amazing things together! It is possible! So get started! Every action counts!
