MONTELLA PRESSCONFERENCE (3):
ACMilan.com: LATE GOAL "I would like to win a game a bit earlier, as happened against Palermo, but it's important to keep balanced and focused throughout the whole game".
"With the new management, we're getting to know each other. The project is important as our CEO said. My first impression on the new ownership is surely positive, we can achieve great results. I'm not thinking about making a list of players to sign: there will be a budget, a technical plan and a style of play and starting from that we'll try to do our best. The game plan could also change but our style of play won't. We didn't speak about my contract, there was no need".
CONDOLENCES AND BEST WISHES
"I wanted to offer my condolences to Michele Scarponi's family and all the people in cycling after this morning's tragedy. We are really saddened by what happened. I then wanted to wish a speedy recovery to Ibra and Buchel, and happy birthday to Kaká who was the last Red and Black player to win the Ballon d'Or"
MONTELLA PRESSCONFERENCE (2):
"They are a well-organised team defensively: they have a good mix of experience and young players and come off the really important win against Fiorentina. They will have more self-esteem and will be more serene: it's going to be a delicate and tough game. We have to move the ball around the quickly and be patient. I grew up at Empoli and I have lots of friends there: I improved as a man and a player. I have fond memories of the club".
"The next two games are really important to reach our goal. We have to win these matches, we need a certain fervour. It's probably going to be harder to prepare for these matches rather than those against Inter, Atalanta and Roma. I am positive we'll play a great end to the season".
"Montolivo should be in squad, unlike Bertolacci because he still isn't at one-hundred percent and only next week he'll be definitely back to full training. We will discuss with Riccardo the best decision to make: I think he's almost ready. Mati Fernandez is an all-round player, I really like him: against Inter he played really well. Bacca? He's important for us, in the derby he did his best: you always want him to score bu if he doesn't it doesn't mean he played a bad game. Deulofeu? He can play tomorrow, the rest doesn't matter. Locatelli is training really well and I have great consideration for him".
MONTELLA PRESSCONFERENCE (1):
ACMilan.com: This Saturday, coach Vincenzo Montella was back at Milanello for the regular press conference which followed his interview with Milan TV. The boss touched on several topics, reflecting on the derby and focusing on the next clash at San Siro where the Rossoneri will take on Empoli. This is what he had to say.
"It was a week of changes, but the boys and I are focused only on the pitch. Both the previous and the actual management did well to support the team. Now we have two important games ahead of us, we have to play with enthusiasm, dedication and determination. I saw the boys ready. We have to put the derby behind us although it's still a vivid and fantastic memory".
"We could have played better in the first half, but we outplayed them in many ways and numbers speak for themselves. I haven't heard from Berlusconi, but after the match, I spoke with Galliani and Maiorino and they were really happy. AC Milan played a great game. I have a great relationship with Pioli, I was complaining about them wasting time, which is what I could understand from the dugout. I don't want to be controversial, so I hope it started and ended there. Of course, there's great rivalry with Inter, in the derby and in every other season, including this one where we fight for the same objective".
