That's all she wrote. Raffle is closed! Lord Vader was pleased with the turnout. Gonna get the tickets ready in a bit. Thanks to everyone that participated and to those that donated even though they didn't want to be in the raffle.
Multiple Sclerosis is one of those diseases that the cause is unknown. Anyone can get it. And when people do get it, they don't find out until years down the line when they get sick and EVERY other thing has been ruled out due to the tests being expensive and/or dangerous (thanks health insurance companies). The disease is Neuro-degenerative leading to your nervous system breaking down. Imagine going blind or deaf out of nowhere and not knowing if it's permanent or just for a few hours, days, or weeks. Most suffers will slowly lose control of their bodies and suffer from pain due to their nerves not functioning correctly and misinterpreting the signal.
The money raised over the last month will be used to combat and study the disease. It will also be used to provide needed items to suffers that out of the blue, found themselves on disability and Social Security, receiving a measly $800 /mo. People who can no longer afford those "luxuries" like A/C which are now required because of their disease.
Big thanks to everyone, while the raffle is over, donations are still being accepted through June.
Dapper Day was pretty great. I wish I could do it every day but I guess I can just wait until next time. I'll be better at doing my hair by then I hope!
Also, sorry for the weird face. I guess I don't really know how to smile?
(Swipe to see all of the scenes!) hands-down the best birthday present this year: this full roll of vintage wallpaper my dad found in an attic of an old house being torn down. It features a bunch of cute bathing scenes AND IT IS METALLIC. If ever I get my dream house with a walk in closet/dressing room, this will be the wallpaper. I am. DEAD.
