Small protest from aboriginals to reclaim some ancestral land, 63 days already, but might get the boot this week. Some bitterness especially for the aboriginals who strongly supported Tsai Ing-Wen.
Sun Moon Lake is beautiful, and like its name, the weather can be night and day. One minute we were cycling around Taiwan's biggest lake, enjoying drinks and a late lunch, and the next there was a torrential downpour that lasted over three hours. No big deal, right? Except that we had over 10km to go, bikes to return, and a last bus back to Taichung to catch. We wrapped up our electronics in plastic, tossed them in our backpack, and hit the road, racing up and down the steep, winding highway that circles the lake. Almost three hours later we finally made it back, and as soon as we got on the bus, the rain stopped. Well, at least we survived and had a great time that we'll always remember!
#100daysofdrawing 15/100 "Dragon" - This is another sketch inspired by Taiwan. My life has been going thru so many changes. Getting a complete overhaul in fact. I'm trying to approach it with fierce intentionality to remake it into what I want.
These sketches are way too sparse for my liking. My housing situation settles in May then they'll be more regular. I love doing them.
This is also my 1st time using waterproof ink and watercolors! Its a great mix of mediums. Thanks to @wyliebeckert for the idea #dragon#taiwan#intention#watercolor#ink#doneisbetterthanperfect#arttherapy
