Cow face pose 🔸I have a love-hate relationship with this pose. It's so hard to sit still and breathe through it but my lower body feels amazing after it. I find this pretty challenging, especially if you stack the knees and make sure you sit between the heels, not on them. Great for those tight hips 🙏 #cowfacepose#yogi#yogilife#yoga#breathe#stretch#hips#lowerbody#openup

The TFL, or Tensor Fascia Latae, stabilizes the pelvis and knee under load and can cause hip pain and excessive tension in the IT band. IT band issues can also come from tightness in glute max so....
This is my go-to for the glute/hip. Start in a supine figure 4 stretch by crossing one ankle over the opposite knee. Flex your toes back towards for face, keep the hips even, and pull your toes towards your nose.
If you cannot capture the back of your bottom leg, scoot your butt close to the wall so you can use your foot flat to apply some pressure to your top (crossed leg).
After some nice deep breaths, you should feel the glute start to open up. Once you feel satisfied here, roll onto your bottom leg side so your crossed foot ends up flat on the ground. Do not change any positioning with the ankle or knee.
Now you're in the TFL stretch! Apply some pressure to your crossed knee and you'll feel a nice stretch in the side/front of your hip. Keep breathing and don't forget to do the other side!
One week later and my lashes are still full and looking absolutely fabulous. When you go to people who specialise in their craft, you'll never go wrong🙌. @alchemysuite #knowyourlashartist#lashesmelbourne
Whether you are coming back from an injury or just learning to move properly, the kettlebell deadlift is a great teaching tool and movement for learning proper hip action, torso positioning, core bracing, and leg drive. This movement brings the center of gravity of the weight closer to your own center of gravity and will teach the athlete how to hold a neutral spine, big braced core, and initiate movement with the legs versus the low back and finish the movement with the hips rather than the low back. Drive the get hard into the floor to initiate movement, pushing into the midfoot with the quads, and quickly engage the glutes and hips. Do not let the spine round forward, knees to collapse, or upper back to cave. Start with light weight, learn the movement pattern, and progress in weight so that form is not compromised. This movement is great for teaching beginners how to move as well as for all levels of athletes in rehab or as a warm up. Perfect practice makes perfect execution, thus practice maintaining perfect positioning and patterning.
I just love working with, learning from and lifting up other fierce women. I am so fortunate and grateful that I get to do significant, life-changing work alongside the woman who supported me to start on my fitness journey Giovanna Primak and the woman who inspired her to start on hers Saudi Almonte.
Nothing happens by accident. You must be in the right place, in the right mindset to receive the right information and the right blessings and I'm just so excited that I continue to step into amazing opportunities simply because my mind and my heart remain open.
My cup keeps on getting filled and I'm ready to fill others!
