The verse of the day is from the mask off remix feat. Kendrick Lamar from kendrick Lamar. I decided to combine both a review of this song and verse of the day in 1 post so bear with me. Now let's get this straight I don't like future and I definitely didn't like the normal version of the song. And while kdot does hit us with a really nice verse it can't really hold up future. The song without kendrick I would probably give a 4-10 just because of its catchy hook. Now kdot really brings it on this one telling everyone how did they a let someone making conscious rap dominate the mainstream. He then goes on to have a few more nice lines. I like his voice on this track as well it really fit with the song. He then ends his verse by saying "You know how many bodies in the street. Take the mask off so you can see." A great ending to pretty good verse. Overall I would give this a 5.5-10 kendrick Lamar does definitely help the song a lot but future just weighs it down and makes the first 2/3 of the song a chore. Now alone I would give kendricks verse a 7/10 I just wasn't really feeling the beginning before he started picking up his flow. There were also a few lines that I thought weren't that great. So overall it's slightly above average.
