A week ago today I took a flight to Miami, as I have so many other times in the past. Nothing special. The flight took off at 6 am and I was asleep by 615. Halfway through the flight I woke up due to turbulence. Now I've flown hundreds of times and never was bothered by turbulence. But, something about this woke me up. About two minutes later we hit turbulence again. This time it was really rough. Within minutes the turbulence worsened.
I looked up saw the flight attendant's face in sheer terror as the plane began to nose dive. At that moment the entire plane screamed as loud as they could. The man sleeping next to me, screamed as he woke up and grabbed my arm as hard as he could. Within seconds the plane leveled out and everyone settled down. No announcement was made. No one really said much. At that point I looked outside and saw this view from my emergency row seat. And at that moment I thought to myself, my life -- I just couldn't make this shit up if I tried. I giggled awkwardly to myself and smiled. (Afterwards realizing I may or may not have slightly peed myself...🤦🏼♂️).
